Recording issue

I'm having a problem recording more than one song. As I record a 2d song, and play it back, one song seems to be recorded over the other. Secondly, I can't seem to transfer to MP3. I just downloaded lame this a.m.

There are different parts of the forum for Windows, Linux, Mac and different versions of Audacity.
