HELP ME COPY CASSETTES TO PC

I bought an Iconnex Portable USB Sound Card. Had no idea what all that means but the advertising said you could turn music from cassette tapes and records into digital format on your pc which could then be downloaded to your ipod. Perfect! I have a bunch of old cassettes I want to digitalize and toss. The iconnex unit arrived w/ a usb cable and a cd rom which was Audacity software. There was no manual, no instructions. I downloaded the software and it is just as greek to me as it could be. All I want to do is hook this unit up to transfer cassette music to the computer and I have absolutely no idea how. Where the heck does one get an instruction manual for that or can someone otherwise help me out?
