Hi. I bought the Blue Snowball mic because I wanted a quality mic I could hook up to my computer and try to record a decent, non-professional quality demo. I sing opera, so I get pretty loud and it clips... usually on my really high notes, as those seem to be the loudest. Everything else sounds beautiful.
My mic is positioned on my desk while I stand in front of it, making it about two and a half feet away from my mouth, below me. Is there anything I can do to keep it from clipping? If I reduce the input volume, it will effect the quieter parts of the singing....
BTW, I'm a complete newb to recording anything really. Hehe.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Clipping with Blue Snowball
I think there is a utility on the Blue Snowball website that reduces the gain of the microphone.
