Audacity Forum

I recently installed Audacity, but am struggling and need some help. I transferred a Vinyl from turntable to PC via USB. I tidied up the recording with 'Normalise', 'Noise Removal' and 'Silence finder',and then saved as Wav file. I then tried to burn to CD using Nero. However all I could get from the CD was strange 'whistling' type noises. Can anybody help?
Go easy on me-I am elderly and not very technical)
