Using Effects how do I change a Voice ?

I have Audacity 1.2.3 does anyone know what effects :geek: I need to use in what order to turn a male voice into a believable female voice ?

Use the Change Pitch effect. However, you won't necessarily get a "believable" female voice, things can get kind of weird when you start pitch shifting.

Depends on your definition of 'believable'.

I've never heard a convincing male -> female edit. Furthermore, I don't think it's possible without synthesizing the female voice from scratch and using the male voice as a guide. At this point in time I don't think anyone has any software that will do that.

If you want a convincing female voice, you have to have a real female or a male who can do a very good impression. Or a eunuch, I suppose.
