TRACKS RECORD OVER EACH OTHER
I am brand new to Audacity. I'm trying to record off a USB turntable. When I record the first track, it is OK. But when I record a second track in the same project, on playback both tracks play over each other. Very frustrating. Can anyone help? Windows XP. Gemsound USB turntable. SoundMax sound card.

Re: TRACKS RECORD OVER EACH OTHER
Press Pause rather than Stop at the end of the first track - then pause to start again.
Or do what you are already doing and move the tracks with the time shift tool so that they follow one another.
