I want to start recording again and my parents got me this new thing called GUITAR RIG 3 which lets me connect my guitar directly to my computer. it also comes with software that turns my computer into a effects board and makes some really cool effects to play with. i want to use these effects in audacity for my recordings. when i follow the tutorial on YouTube it dosen't show up in my effects list. how can i use guitar rig 3 as a effect in Audacity?

I think that Guitar Rig 3 is designed to be used as a "real-time" effect.
Audacity does not support real-time effects.

You will need to use the software supplied with Guitar Rig to make your recordings. You can however still use Audacity to edit the recordings if you want to.
