Reduce size of audio file

Hi,

I'm using Audacity 1.3. on my iMac. When I record a voice, my file is about 1 minute and when I export it, the size is 1MB. How can I record a voice but have a much smaller file?

1 minute of CD quality stereo sound is about 10MB.
1 minute of CD quality mono sound is about 5MB
1 minute of reasonable quality stereo sound in MP3 format (128kbps) is about 1MB
1 minute of reasonable quality mono sound in MP3 Ogg format (64kbps) is about 500kB
1 minute of low quality mono sound in MP3 format (16kbps) is about 120kB
1 minute of really bad quality mono sound in MP3 format (8kbps) is about 60kB

Audacity 1.3.x - Select the MP3 settings during Export by clicking on the Options button on the export dialogue screen.
