Overlay voice recording over song recording

Post by allmixedup » Sat Dec 12, 2009 8:31 pm

Hi,

I'm very new to this stuff and have a simple question. I have a recording of what's called "deep focus affirmations" (the voice part) and another of biolateral sounds (the song part). I would like to overlay the voice on top of the song where the finished product would be a recording of the affirmations against the music in the background. Is this possible to do with Audacity? If so, how complicated would this be to do?

Much thanks to anyone who can help.

The techniques will be pretty much the same as making a voice and music podcast. Here's a tutorial: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... h_Audacity
