OK, you have me totally confused now.
How do you know that the recorded sound is wrong if you cannot hear the what you are recording?

I mean..
While I record I only hear the background track.
Afterwards when I press play I can hear my recorded piece and the back ground track.
And of course if I don't use any back ground track, I can only hear my recorded piece after I have recorded it.

Then there is nothing to say that Audacity is not recording exactly the sound that you are sending to it. So I'll go back to the suggestion from several days ago:
"Try changing the settings on the Behringer, or using the Equalizer effect to boost the treble."
