hi all,
Audacity going well but I have a problem recording my keyboard on a new track, there is a slight delay between key being pressed and the noise I hear, any help here most greatfull

The best solution is to monitor your keyboard directly (before it goes into your computer - for example from a headphone socket on the keyboard).
If this does not help, you will need to give a lot more detail about your set-up (what sort of computer/OS/keyboard/what's connected to what...)
