Hi!
I guess this is pretty elemtary, but I can't manage to record on the same track - Audacity creates a new trck for me everytime I want to record. Any ideas?

Either press Pause instead of stop, or stop using Audacity 1.2.
Audacity 1.3 has provision for one-line editing.

well... i installed the 1.3 beta, but still creates new tracks every time. are there eny settings in the preferenc section i should enable?

After you have stopped recording - to start again in the same track press Shift+R or Shift+Record
