Is feature request page up-to-date?

So, can I pick up any feature request from the feature-requests page of the wiki
and start coding or sketching the implementation? I'm sure even a sketching would
be helpful than nothing.

The feature request page is updated regularly, though there may be additional requests pending.

For many of the requests there are multiple possible ways to implement the feature, so you may find it useful to discus your ideas here on the forum to get some feedback before spending too much time on a specific approach.
