OPening more than one program with one click

Post by AintThatAMan » Wed Oct 03, 2012 12:01 am

I used to know how to do this, back in the win 9x days, but I'm in Win 7 now. I want to be able to open Audacity, along with a text file of the keyboard shortcuts when I doubleclick on the desktop icon. I have the real estate, dual monitors. I've been using Audacity for several years now and am getting frustrated with having to click on everything. So I need to learn the shortcuts. I still know the shortcuts for the old SAW (If that doesn't date me too much....) And I keep trying to use them here, but no soap. :D

Any help would be appreciated. :!:

On Windows you could write a batch file (a text file with the file extension ".bat") to launch multiple programs by running the .bat file, but wouldn't it be easier (and possibly more effective) to write down a few shortcuts on a Post-it note and stick it on the corner of your monitor?

Many of the shortcuts are the same as other programs (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V, Del, Home, End...)
