Same volume or waves

Hi

I would like to ask if there’s any way to turn the waves the same hight. So the words in the audio would be the same volume?

I tried to normalize with 0.1 db and then hard clip by -6 and it helped but anyway to do it better without distorting the audio too much? In the example below I didn’t normalize or do hard clip

Loudness is more complicated than that: waves of the same height can be perceived as different volumes.
The latest version of audacity has “loudness normalization” which can make audios equally loud…

Unless you want an obvious distortion effect, don’t use hard clip.
Use soft limit instead … Limiter - Audacity Manual

Okay the waves are different sentences. What I want to do is making the words of a sentense to the same volume if that’s the right word for it. So “I am happy” having the exact same volume.

Does that make sence?

Fortunately, it did not create any distortion in the sound and the quality is the same. But can soft limit do the same?
