Tinnitus sound replicated with Audacity

Don’t know if this is the right forum, but here it is.
I used Audacity to create an approximation of my tinnitus sound five years ago. Can’t remember how I found it, but it helped me to do something that might help other people, so as far as I’m concerned, that’s oaky.

I don’t remember the details now, but did mention some of them on my Freesound page. In some ways it was fun doing it, but at the same time, focusing on my tinnitus was unpleasant to begin with, to say the least, and unfortunately made me so much more aware of it at the time. I really hate toe noise that I created now and feel ill if I listen to it. And that’s in spite of the fact that my noise has changer somewhat over the ensuing five years.
I also have hearing loss, so can’t truly describe how another individual should observe the sound file I created. But to me, it’s loud when things are quiet, and still very noticeable in a noisy environment…

I won’t be doing it again as it makes me feel somewhat unwell now.:sweat_smile:

Allegedly notching those tinnitus frequencies from audio is beneficial to the sufferer …
