Bug: Immediatly allow Play-At-Speed

Version 2.4.2
Windows 7

  1. Startup Audacity.
  2. Drag in an audio file.
  3. Press Play-At-Speed

Expected result: It should start playing. I know it did in previous versions.

Actual result: It doesn’t play. You need to click “normal” Play first, stop it, then you can use Play-At-Speed.

Indeed yes, you are right this is a bug (and a regression as it used to work in earlier versions).

I’ll log this on our Bugzilla bugtracker later today.

Good catch - and thanks for the report AyCe  :sunglasses:

Peter.

It’s a regression on Audacity 2.3.2 - the bug was introduced in 2.3.3

And confirmed as a bug on W10 and macOS 11.0.1 Big Sur
