Jam with Recorded Tracks - Jam with Playback, No Record

Currently, when I want to jam with tracks I have already recorded, I have to press the record button with Monitoring Input already on. I can monitor the input and listen to what the input will be, but as soon as I press Play, the monitoring stops.

I have Googled the subject, I have looked for it on these forums but have found nothing. While this might seem like a minor issue given that you just have to monitor input and and use record, it would save a lot of time by using the Play button with monitoring. It kills the flow having to erase the recorded track, click on Start Monitoring and press Record again. Given you can Record and listen to the input, using the same feature while using Play does not seem like a tough feature to implement, at least in theory.
