The most recent info I could find was unclear to me. Is it possible to build Audacity with VS2012 on a Win 8 System?
If not, is it possible with VS2008 Express and Win 8?

I think the information on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Developing_On_Windows is pretty clear. If you think it isn't clear, please suggest improvements.
You can use VS2012 with wxWidgets 2.8.12 if you make a small modification to the wxWidgets sources before building them. This is not officially supported though, and if you are new to building it may be easier to use VS2008.
