Hi All
The attached audio has obviously been recorded at a "too loud" level. As it is a "live" recording, to re-record is not an option.
If there was someway to make it "listenable" to (remove the loud fuzzyness without losing the clarity of the speaking) I would appreciate that so so so so so much!
I feel like an absolute n00b so please be gentle
Thanks

Unfortunately that recording is so badly damaged that only a small amount of improvement is possible.
1) Apply ClipFix (Effect menu) with the default settings (95%) Note that this effect is very slow - try it on a short section first. As processing is done in RAM do not try applying to very long selections. If it is a long recording apply to say 10 minutes at a time.
2) Aapply the Amplify effect with default settings.
3) Apply the High-Pass filter effect set to 100 Hz.
Here's the result. It's only marginally better, but this is probably as good as it gets.

Thank you so much, I'll have a go at that this morning and see what the overall picture is then!
BTW, when you say Clipfix is slow... how slow is slow? The first half of the progress bar goes really quick then it almost seems to freeze - is that normal?
Thanks again

On my computer processing runs (walks) at about half real-time - I'll do a test...
Processing a badly clipped 5 minutes stereo track takes around 13 minutes to complete.
The plug-in uses 2 passes. The first pass is relatively quick so you will see the progress bar move to around 50% fairly quickly. The second pass is very slow as it is reconstructing the peaks one sample at a time.
