Moving the track window left or right

Is there any way to move the track window left or right other than by using the slider beneath it? Like some key combination, perhaps?

Scroll left/right: left/right cursor keys
Small jump left/rght; comma/dot keys.
Big jump left/right: Shift+comma/Shift+dot
Go to end: "End" key
Go to start: "Home" key
Also, if you have a wheel mouse
Ctrl+Mouse wheel = Zoom
Shift+Mouse Wheel = scroll
See here for the shortcut reference in the manual

Don't move the cursor

I wasn't clear about what I'm missing. I want to move the waveform left or right without changing the position of the cursor relative to the waveform. It's the keyboard equivalent of moving the scrollbar underneath the waveform. In fact, Ctl-Left or Ctl-Right would be a very nice way to invoke this operation, since those key combinations don't have any meaning now.

Without moving the cursor you can either scroll using Shift+Mouse Wheel, or just drag (with the mouse) the scroll bar that's below the tracks panel (as was your original description). If you are regularly needing to scroll forward and back you probably just need to adjust the zoom level.

You may also make a new post on the feature request forum suggesting that feature:

Will make the suggestion

There are workarounds, as you note, but nothing currently provides an exact keyboard equivalent of moving the scrollbar. I'll take your advice and post the suggestion for Ctl-Left and Ctl-Right.
