Cannot delete corrupted Audacity project file
The waste-basket on my OpenSuSE 1..0 + Gnome system contains the '_dat' folder part of an Audacity project - the '.aup' part is missing. Attempts to delete it from the waste-basket are rejected with 'permission denied' messages, even though I have 'create and delete' permission on the folder. I cannot 'see' it with Audacity, because Audacity cannot 'see' the waste-basket. How do I delete this corrupted project?
When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.
Re: Cannot delete corrupted Audacity project file
You need to restore it to its original location, then check that you have permission to write/delete both the folders and the files. I suspect that there are some files for which your user account does not have sufficient rights. If this is the case then you will either have to delete them, or change the permissions as root/super-user/su (or whatever they call it in SUSE).
