hi all,
i'm trying to use noise removal on a track in audacity, but even after i have gone into noise removal, got a noise profile and re-opened the noise removal dialog, the preview and ok buttons remain disabled. i have tried reinstalling with various options, changing various settings to do with my track, but still i cannot get it to work. can anyone shed some light on this?

Have you Selected the portion of Audio, or the whole track, that you want to apply the Noise Reduction to?

May be this is a Unix version problem? It works fine in WindowsPC-land - I used it last nigh to remove background whistle from an FM broadcast.

There is a "noise removal" bug in the Linux version of Audacity 1.3.3
Updating to 1.3.4 fixed it for me.
