Hi
I am on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
I am using the latest version available on Ubuntu reps.
I faced this display problem:
This problem is not showing in other apps.
The strange thing is that the Windows version of Audacity (installed via Wine) is working without this problem at all! see this:
But it is not VERY stable.
Any ideas؟

Display problems on Linux are often due to video driver problems. If you have an NVidia graphics card, check that you are using the latest proprietary NVidia driver.

Could also be related to the window manager you're using. There was a recent thread here about someone who was missing the menus on audacity, that was caused by some gnome applet or similar (also only happened on some apps).
Include as much details as you can in your post (Audacity version, Operating System, Equipment used, etc).
Please post your question in the appropriate forum (regarding audacity version and operating system).
