Audacity Forum

Hi,
I recorded a very simple project but when I try to open it, Audacity hangs.
I'm using Karmic Koala 9.10, Audacity 1.3.9.

The project opens and I can see the wave, but then my whole computer slows down considerably and I have to kill Audacity through system monitor.

I tried to attach a file to the forum but I couldn't upload it - its 17MB, could anyone help me out?

Is your computer very old and/or has very little ram?

Try to record and save a new project and tell us if the same happens again.

No I've been using Audacity quite a bit for much bigger things.
My computer is less than 4 years old.

Just to be clear, is it just this specific project that causes the problem, or is Audacity now freezing with all projects?
Do you have a very large amount of label text in the project?
