I have recently bought an akai att05U turntable.
i tried to plug in the table in my macbook pro, but at first there was no possibility to see th codec.
Yesterday there was all of a sudden the usb audio codec demo.
This meant a beep every 25 seconds.
When i restarted the audio codec was gone again and i cannot find it anywhrere on the system.
Audacity 1.3.7.
thanks for your advice

Changing the USB port can often help - sounds like you may have a dodgy USB port - at least you have one that works. Sometimes though it's jus a poor connection, wiggling (gently) the USB plug in its socket or just withdrawing it an re-plugging it can sometimes help. And generally it is not advised to plug them into USB hubs.
