Hi, I just downloaded the latest nightly build and I think I found a bug.
When you zoom in in the middle of a track, then pause and then play the (blue) waveform jumps to beginning of the track.
I searched and downloaded some older nightly builds and found that one from 1.April was the last one without this bug. So maybe someone can find it.

The latest nightly build of what? 1.3.7, 1.3.8, 1.4.0?
You may have found a problem. It's a bug when 500 other people find the same problem.
We'll look. Thanx.

I think it's 1.3.8. This is the last one that doesn't show the bug:

I think it's fixed now. At least it works for me (1.3.8 alpha). Thanks!
But I noticed another bug that must have crept in somewhere (Unfortunately, I can't say when):
When you have several tracks you can't apply an effect to one track alone anymore, it's applied to ALL tracks. This goes only for additional effects, the built-in effect (from amplify to wah-wah) still work o.k.

Can you tell us exactly which version of Audacity you are using (look in the "About Audacity") and which effects produce this problem.

I'm using '1.3.8-alpha_May 27 2009 (Unicode)' and the problem is with all the effects that are not built-in, that is the effects below the dividing line in the effects menu. What I try to do is the following: I have 2 tracks, one above the other and highlight (select) a part of just ONE track. When I apply an effect (like AUFilter) it gets applied to the other track, too.
Thanks for your good work. I wouldn't normally complain about bugs as this the alpha version that is supposed to contain bugs. But this is something that worked before and it would be unfortunate if it went unnoticed.

I can't reproduce that here. I'm using Audacity ® 1.3.8-alpha_May 30 2009 (Unicode) on Linux.
Perhaps it's just an issue on Macs - hopefully another Mac user can check that out.

It happens to me, too.
1.5 GHz PPC
Mac OS-X 10.4.11 (Tiger)
Audacity 1.3.8 dated June 3 2009
The two sound clips I used were piano2.wav and LRMonoPhase4.wav from here...
http://www.kozco.com/tech/soundtests.html
I opened piano and Imported LeftRight so they stacked top to bottom.
I selected a small portion of the piano and applied the AUGraphicEq tool. The tool effect was applied to both tracks.
