What's the purpose of the commands Edit-->Move Cursor-->to Selection Start/End? I thought that it would be to fine-tune a selection I've made, but when I execute either one, while it does move the cursor to the start or end of the selection it also looses the selection.
Thanks,

What do you use "Move Cursor to Selection Start/End" for?

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: What do you use "Move Cursor to Selection Start/End" for
That's exactly what it does do, because you can't have the cursor inside a selection in Audacity, there is either a selection region or a cursor point. To fine tune the selection boundaries with the keyboard, you can use [ and ], or SHIFT - left or right arrow to expand the selection, or COMMAND - SHIFT - left or right arrow to contract it.soundsun wrote:What's the purpose of the commands Edit-->Move Cursor-->to Selection Start/End? You can also label the selection (COMMAND - B) then click in the label to recall the selection.
