Play Cut Preview not working - Bug?

When I do the "Play Cut Preview" command via the "C" key, it just plays a bit before the selection and then continues into the beginning of the selection, though the cursor jumps over to the far side of the selection, like I would expect. At first I thought that I was amazingly good at finding clean edit points until I realized that the audio I was hearing didn't match what the cursor was doing.

I'm using Audacity 1.3.7

I've tried this one two Macs, both Intels, but one running 10.4.11 and the other running 10.5.6

Hmmm. I've play with it a bit more and with a new file, it behaves as expected - I'll try and see what I do to break it.

OK, Here's the recipe for breaking it;

1. Open a new sound file

2. check that Play Cut Preview works (it still should)

3. add a label track via cmd-B

4. try using "Play Cut Preview" again and it's broken (or I'm not understanding something about label tracks).

If you delete the label track the Play Cut Preview starts working again.

Just to be complete I tried it in my VMWave version of XP and Audacity 1.3.7 does the same thing there too.

That's great! I'm using the 1.3.8-alpha 2009-03-24 Mac version and it works.
