Is there a way to create a new envelope control point without dragging the envelope to where I click?
Thanks,
Allen

Unfortunately no. I seem to remember a feature request for Right Click to create a point without altering the envelope. I don't know if that would help on a Mac, do they still only have one button?

Only if you do it wrong.
OS-X supports three-button mice as well as the wired or wireless versions of two button with scroll wheel.
I couldn't stand any of the one-click artsy Apple mice. They're terrible. That one where the whole mouse clicks? You can't be old and run that one. One false move and you've ordered pizza for five on PayPal®. That completely round one that came with the iMacs. Target Practice.
Pull!
It doesn't take long on a laptop with a two week vacation spreading out before you to drop by your local Office Supply store and pick up a nice Wireless Microsoft Mouse. I got one for my sister one Christmas and I thought she was a little strange, but then I got one and it's better than chocolate sprinkles on vanilla ice cream.
One you get used to running the more complicated Apple applications with a two-button mouse, you cut your production time in half.

Thanks! And such a feature would be helpful for all Macs, because even with a one-button mouse, a right-click can be emulated by a Control-click. I have a one-button trackpad, but I use right-click features all the time without thinking. --Allen
