only records on one channel

just got a stanton t.90 usb recording onto a macbook. only records on one channel. can anyone help?
Audacity wakes up from first birthday in mono. Reset in...
Audacity > Preferences > Audio I/O > Recording.
Reset to 2 Channel (Stereo).
Restart Audacity and see if that helps.
