Export with ffmpeg lib for AAC and Lame for MP3

Post by earchide » Sat Jan 10, 2009 12:42 pm

Question 1 Export AAC MP4
FFmpeg is required to do this : I've installed FFmpeg_Librairies_for_Audacity for OSX (I Am Mac OS 10.5)
but impossible to find the lib.
Additionally, when I click on "find the lib" in the pref import/export window, The message is "Audacity Error - dlopen(avformat-52.dll, 1) not found.
He is looking for a .dll file (windows extention file !?) ist'n it strange ? :(

Question 2
For export, Lame is installed, but only 128kb seems possible. How to select a better rate ?? (256 kb) :(

Thanks !
Emmanuel

Q1) See here: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic ... 45&p=33004

Q2) This is a known bug in Audacity 1.3.6 - the developers are working on it. In the mean time the workaround is to Export as WAV or Aiff and use an external encoder (such as iTunes).
