I was just wanting to no what the red marks mean in an audio file. There don't seem to be a key map of the different colors in audacity that i am a where of. i am new to audacity and not sure yet what I am doing. I used a program called EasyTunes to take out two of my itunes songs that have DRM in it and then loaded one up in audacity to see if it plays ok. It does but at the end of the song there are theses red lines and I was not sure what that means. Anyone have an ideal?

Thank you,
joey

The red marks indicate that you have recorded too loud. They indicate the positions where the audio reaches 0dB and has "clipped" (distortion).

When you record, you need to record at a lower level so as to avoid clipping.
