Wave forms disappear when I stop recording

Post by timjkrol » Wed Feb 29, 2012 7:36 pm

Hi I'm having a frustrating problem-- I'm recording a tutoring session and it involves just one simple stereo track, but I have to stop and start a lot, and as soon as I hit the space bar to stop the recording, the wave forms from previous takes disappear. So the audio is there, and if I put the cursor over the time in the track I recorded something, I can hear it just fine. But I get a blank white track, no wave form, so I have no idea where I am in the track. Anyone know how to help?

This smacks of someone using Audacity 1.2 instead of 1.3.
Audacity > About Audacity.
Write down all three numbers.
