How to sync M-audio Interface with Audacity

How to sync M-audio Interface with Audacity
I have a M-audio NRV10 that i want to sync with audacity.. so how do i find devices

Close Audacity.
Plug the device in.
Apple (upper left) > Preferences > Hardware > Sound > Input. Select the device. It may not say NRV10. It may say something else, but it won't look like all your regular devices. Play something and your little blue ball sound meter should bounce.
Launch Audacity 1.3. Select the device in the tool bar for Input.

Play something and press record.
The blue waves should start building themselves and the red recording meters should bounce like this.

If you need to hear what you're doing from the Mac, Audacity > Preferences > Recording > Software Playthrough.
