I'd like to transfer my edited songs to another computer, so I've been trying to save my songs as ".wav". This is what I've tried so far:
File --> Export... --> save --> [a Warning comes up: "You are about to save a WAV file with the name...Normally these files end in ".wav", and some progrms will not open files with nonstandard extensions. Are you sure you want to save the file under this name?" --> Yes --> [Edit Metadata pops up] "Ok" --> ***then it doesn't let me save the file and another message comes up saying "Cannot export audio to /Volumes/Audacity 1.313/Audacity/{song title}"
Help, Please! I must have these songs ready by the end of this week.

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: exporting file as .wav error
just save it as the filename - Audacity will add the .wav extension for you.
What you are trying to get Audacity to do is to export a file caled <file_name>.WAV.WAV - which is why it is warning you)

Re: exporting file as .wav error
Use only letters, numbers, space, hyphen and underscore in file names. These are safe characters to use for file names. Depending on the operating system, other characters can cause problems.
