No USB Audio Device Selection

Hello Audacity Forum,
Today I received a PM-21 21 Podcast Mixer Kit from a friend and I downloaded Audacity 1.3.13(Beta). I have a Mac Book Pro (OS X 10.5.8).
My Issue: When I go to System Preferences > Sound > Input, there is not an option that reads "Name - USB Audio Device Type - USB". The User Manual states this option should be there for me to choose so I can select the correct way my laptop will receive sound from the mixer.
The options that do show up are: Internal Microphone, Line In, and Built-in Input (Aggregate). Everything is hooked up and ready to go but I am not receiving audio in my recordings and I think this is the root of the problem.
Thank You for any help you can give.

Is this the "PM-21" that you have:

Check the USB connector. You may need to restart your computer.

Thanks Steve for the response,
1) Yes, that link is to the correct system that I have.
2) I restarted my computer put I still had the same issue.
Further Information:
1) The USB port is recognizing that there is a device plugged into it.
2) In the Finder Window the mixer is labeled as "EasySuite" and there 3 items located "in the mixer". 1. autorun.inf 2. EasySuite.exe 3. a program called GO! Bridge (When i click on Go! Bridge I get a message saying "Remote computer is not connected or Go! Bridge is not running. Please connect to another computer and launch Go! Bridge.)
3) "PM-21" is supposed to be a Plug N Play system for Mac and PC and comes with no software except for Audacity.
4) I took everything to my local Apple Store Genius Bar and the rep there could not figure out why I was not getting the "USB option" in the Sound>Input section of my System Preferences. He hooked the PM-21 system to his Mac Book he had there in store and had the same issue. Although when he hooked up a "Blue Snowball" microphone directly into my USB port, I immediately received the "USB Option" in the Sounds>Input section.
We ended up thinking that there is either something wrong with the Mixer or the mixer does not have any drivers for a Mac, hence only having the .int and .exe files. I am going to try to contact Technical Pro but looking at their website contacting them may be an issue, but we'll see. Let me know if you know of anything that can help me out.
Thank You

That's the fileset for an automatic install of the software -- under Windows. If the mixer has special needs or uses an unconventional set of instructions, the Mac isn't going to know what to do with it. I bet a Windows machine won't know, either -- without the software.
Mac drivers are pretty much the only hope.
