A few months ago, I used Apple's Migration Assistant to transfer everything from my earlier Mac computer to my new iMac with Mac OS 10.6.8. BIAS SoundSoap 2.2.0 got copied to the new iMac.
I installed Audacity Beta 1.3.13 on the new iMac a few days ago. Sometimes, when I click on the Audacity Beta 1.3.13 icon that I put in the dock, a "Welcome to BIAS Soundsoap 2.2.0" message comes up, asking whether I would like to authorize it.
I am having trouble authorizing it, and have contacted BIAS tech support about that. My question for you is, are you surprised this message comes up when I click on the Audacity icon? Does it make any sense to you?
(I have no problem circumventing the BIAS message, and opening Audacity.)

Re: Audacity Beta 1.3.13 & BIAS Soundsoap 2.2.0
Audacity is attempting to load BIAS Soundsoap as a plug-in.
See here for some information about plug-in support in Audacity: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Plug-ins
You can select which type of plug-ins are enabled in Audacity in the "Effects" section of Preferences.

It's normal if you load trialware/nagware/unauthorised plug-ins. Audacity doesn't and shouldn't suppress those plug-in messages.NY2LA wrote:I am having trouble authorizing (SoundSoap) and have contacted BIAS tech support about that.
