Added support for Audio Unit "MusicEffects"

We've just committed a patch that adds support for Audio Unit MusicEffects. An example of these are the AU effects from http://destroyfx.org/. "MusicEffects" support audio input like pure "Effect" AUs but are distinguished from them by having an option to use MIDI input to set effect parameters. Audacity however doesn't yet accept MIDI input, so although these effects should work as audio effects on Audacity tracks, the parameters will have to be set manually.

The patch author has already tested the patch in Audacity 1.3.13 with her own destroy fx plug-ins, but any other tests of AU MusicEffects would be welcome (please post here). The next Mac Nightly Build from the top of this list:
http://www.audacity.homerow.net/index.p ... order=desc

should include the patch (that is, any build on or after "audacity-nightly-2011.08.22-03.15/").

Thanks

Gale

Audacity 1.3.14-alpha-Aug 25 2011, Mac PPC dual G5, OS X 10.5.8, successfully loads the "Destroy FX Transverb" AU plugin. The plugin processes mono and stereo tracks. The Aug 15 build of Audacity does not load the plugin.
