LAME - how to download it?

i tried downloading the .sit , but nothing is there to unzip.
i've been trying all afternoon, and read a post to you from someone else on the same subject, but i just see the .sit file.

You may have a bad (corrupted) download, or perhaps the wrong version for your Mac.
Check out the Mac section on this page
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... structions and download a fresh copy of Lame from the appropriate link, then follow the installation instructions. Hopefully it will then work.

It's also handy to make sure the Mac is showing you the whole filename.
Finder > Preferences > Advanced > Show All File Extensions.
You don't have to interpret the pictures by itself. koz.mov is a movie file, koz.doc is a Word for Windows file, koz.pdf is a Portable Document File, koz.jpg is a compressed picture file, etc.
