Greetings,
I've posted this to Audacity 1.2, then realized I could download and use a version of Audacity 1.3 for my Mac OS X 10.4.11. Duh.
Anyway, I have stretched file of spoken text from 38 seconds to 4 minutes using SOUND STRETCH because Audacity kept creating flutter. The resultant file that I now have also has distinct staccato flutter as well. Is there anyway to smooth out the contours and create a legato, lyrical sound while keeping the current duration? I would send the MP3, but it is 2.7 MB, too large to attach.

Re: Smoothing a fluttery .wav file
Why not try using "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift" (available in Audacity 1.3.13) to stretch the spoken text rather than "Sound Stretch"?
