It is forbidden to damage you by showing the file extensions.

Well it might have been worse. They could translate the extensions...

That's good. Can I tell people I said that instead of you?

re Snap To: I am aware if you do "Edit > Select > All" it only selects rightwards on the timeline up to the last whole second, nonetheless this means that if you have one track of half a second and another of 2.5 seconds, Edit > Select > All will select all of the half-second track. But I think you'll find this is what the developers intended, and is the point of the snap-to. If you think it is wrong, write to devel-list.
re the image: It makes no difference if "you" did not drag behind zero (Time Shift Tool will do that), Audacity dragged your second recorded track back for you because you have "Play Other Tracks" selected in Audio I/O Preferences. It's easy to say it is not "reasonable to shift here the digits and to hide thousandths digit". But you did not give us your solution for showing a minus figure in the restricted space available, if people choose hh:mm:ss+ samples with a low screen resolution. I don't want to argue with your other interpretations of what I said.
I will say though Jan, if you want people to read your bug reports, I suggest spending some time on a clear, entirely factual explanation, clear questions instead of riddles, and keeping within the etiquette of this Forum.

Now how about the original post? Both signs should be ignored.
