Audacity Forum

I'm running a Mac OS X version 10.4 and I can load an mp3 file on to the audacity editor and play the clip. Unfortunately, after darkening the area I want to edit, I cannot cut the section. Does anyone have any ideas? After hitting "edit" the cut area is not darkened, so I can't access it.

How much will you bet that you actually got an MP3 file? If you didn't, Audacity tools will not work.
