Music Shrinkage?

Post by jenevans » Thu Nov 04, 2010 2:37 pm

I edited a song and had it the exact right length that I needed it, but it was really loud. So I decreased the volume and it shortened the song, by a lot! The same content is still there, I just decreased the dBs.... Help Please!! I need this song for a project that's due today!

Did you use Effect > Amplify to reduce the volume?

Reducing the volume (amplify effect) shouldn't change the duration of the track... unless you used a different effect...

Which audacity version are you using?
