Audacity Forum

I can't seem to use any editing tools (delete, copy, paste, cut, etc...). The editing menu is always grayed out even after I've selected a region. All I want to do is delete portions of the imported tracks. I've already labeled all of the tracks, but I can't edit anything. This is incredibly frustrating. Please help me!

Are you sure you are in Stop mode, not in Pause? You can pause playback and select a region, but you cannot edit unless stopped.
