Hi,

I just installed and sync'd my VST plugins, and towards the end I get a message: "Failed to load Device on Disk".

Now I get this message every time I launch Audacity.

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks.

My guess is that it's a message from one of your VST plug-in.

Does Audacity open after that message, or can you not open Audacity?

Thanks for your reply. Yeah it seems to open fine. At first I thought all of the options were disabled, but I think it's fine. Is there a place where I can disable VST's or manage which ones are enabled or disabled?

You can disable all VST effects in "Edit menu > Preferences > Effects".
Try disabling VST completely - if that solves the problem but you want to be able to use the VST effects that are compatible, then it's a matter of temporarily moving all of the VST effects so that Audacity does not see them, then putting them back one at a time 'till you find the one(s) that cause a problem. Each time that you add a VST you will need to tell Audacity to rescan for VST effects so that Audacity will look for new ones.
