I'm running tracks (tambs, strings, 808s, pads ect.) for my band through audacity (click L track R) and was wondering if there is a way to create a hot key for each label track that I have (such as numbers 1, 2, 3 to correlate with the songs in the set) instead of having to use the tab button to toggle through the titles, hit enter to select that track and then space bar to start.
Any ideas?

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Assigning Keyboard Keys To Label Tracks
Within Audacity, no.
You might be able to cobble something together using Applescript UI scripting: http://www.mactech.com/articles/mactech ... index.html
QuicKeys might be able to do it, but it's relatively expensive: http://startly.com/products/quickeys/mac/4/
Instead of having all the songs on one long track (I assume you mean you are using a stereo track with the click on the left channel and all instruments on the right), put each song on it's own track. Configure the Solo button to "simple" mode: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... references. Now to select a song all you have to do is click the Solo button for the track containing the song.
