Where do I put additional nyquist effects?

Hi!
I recently updated to Audacity 1.3 (OS X) and thought I might add the additional nyquist effects that's distributed along with the application. On the disk image there's a folder called "plug-ins". I realize that has to be placed some where. But I can't figure out where.
The wiki says:
So, where do I put them?

The wiki says:
There are no plug-in folder inside the Audacity package or in the application folder. I tried to place the "plug-ins" folder from the disk image on both places but Audacity won't find them on startup.Simply place them in the Plug-Ins folder inside your Audacity installation folder and restart Audacity. Your installation folder is usually under C:Program Files on Windows computers, or under Mac Hard Disk > Applications on OS X.
So, where do I put them?
