Re: Cannot record streaming audio w/ audacity & soundflower
Recording streaming audio with Soundflower is counter-intuitive.
In the System Preferences > Sound control panel, set Soundflower (2 ch) as the output device. Your speakers will be muted. Now in Audacity select Soundflower as the input device. Click on the recording level meters to start monitoring and you should be good to go.

It's one of the objections I had to SoundFlower. All it does is provide the signal pathways. It's up to you to find them -- and they're not clearly labeled.
