The Audacity 1.3.7 app icon has a red circle with diagonal bar over it. Trying to open brings up a 'Can't open on this architecture' error.
OS 10.5.7 — Mini 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo: I did once search for audacity stuff, including invisible items, deleted all from the boot disc. The fresh install still behaves like an alien. I have 2 or 3 HDD's often connected. Perhaps I need to delete more preferences and stuff from backups ?
It does, however perversely, run very well from the install folder which opens from the disk image...;≠)
As I'm listening, not recording at the moment, things are OK for a week or two till this is straightened out. It's a great transcription tool.

Re: Miss-matched architecture recognition OS 10.5.7
Somehow a PPC version of Audacity got downloaded, while I was sure that I had clicked on the Intel compatible version...
Now everything is fine. False alarm that may have something to do with the adverts on the download page ? Hard to say.
